Donna Mishico is definitely our sensational senior. Donna was a first grade teacher for forty years. She still works in the local school system a few days each week helping students and mentoring teachers. Donna loves children, her own, and particularly her two grandchildren. She is the primary care giver for her mother, preparing her evening meals, grocery shopping and driving her to doctors and other appointments. This allows her mother to still live on her own at ninety-five. She exercises and walks over two miles each day. Donna loves the outdoors and is always taking her grandchildren for hikes and evening walks to view the stars and moon. Since retiring she has taken a dive in a submarine, slept at the foot of a volcano, zip lined through the canopy of the rain forest and swam with dolphins. She has a zest for life that is contagious. Her love of family and others is a gift she gives freely. She treasures the time she spends with children and believes being a teacher is a great avocation. The world is a better place by her presence in it.
