Here we go…my first blog post as President and owner of Hello! Home Care. First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone that has helped make this possible, mostly family and friends, especially my parents and Nana in CT and my (wife’s) family here in Southern California. I also have to thank my mentor, Craig Falk of Craig Cares who has been an invaluable resource throughout the process as well as home care consultant and guru, Ginny Kenyon, RN.
As you browse our website you might notice the look and feel is quite different from other in-home senior care providers, and this is exactly what my wife Kelly and I intended. We didn’t want to use stock photos of actors and actresses portraying seniors and their caregivers smiling at the camera. We wanted our website to be an organic and authentic representation of who we are and how we want to run this business. As such, everything you see has been developed from the ground up. I have worked tirelessly to develop and format the website, www.hellohomecare.com, and Kelly has authored most of the web content. We worked with a local graphic artist, Sarah J. Lee, a recent graduate of USC, to develop the illustrations from the visions that we had for the company website. Being ourselves is important to us and is one of the many reasons we decided to open our own business versus buying one of the many senior care franchise businesses available.
Certainly, going from working in a highrise on Wall St. in NYC to a small office building on Green St. in Pasadena is a culture change, but one that I am fully enjoying. I look forward to meeting my neighbors in Pasadena and the surrounding areas and hope you’ll give us a chance to show you what services Hello! Home Care can provide. This has truly been a labor of love and I am so excited for all the possiblities it brings.
